对于自己本场略显慢热的表现，里夫斯认为：“距离我上一次打正式比赛已经有段时间了，虽然在过去的1、2个月里我参加了一些野球局也进行了锻炼。其实我今天还挺焦虑的，但能上场打球还是很棒的。虽然一开始疯狂打铁，但这也是找回比赛状态的过程，这不是一件坏事。能和队友们并肩作战，这种感觉很棒。”
